1. Imperial interview dates 2026 at a glance
Imperial College London interviews for 37 of the 56 undergraduate courses in its prospectus, and each department sets its own dates. Taken together they run from November to March: most engineering and science departments interview from November, Medicine from January, and Materials, Design Engineering and Mechanical Engineering into March. A further 19 courses say an interview is possible or used for some applicants.
The interview process is the department's, not the University's: the invitation comes from the department. Only two course pages say how much warning to expect: Design Engineering (rolling, about a week's notice) and Mechanical Engineering (at least two weeks' notice); the other departments publish dates only.
2. Interview dates by course
Courses with the same arrangements share a row, and the variants of one course (a year in industry, a year abroad) are counted together. Course names link to our directory for the entry requirements.

3. Medicine at Imperial
Medicine MBBS/BSc: typically January to February (invitations rolling from December). The format is MMI, online or in person.
Who is invited, as the course page describes it:
- Applicants meeting the minimum academic requirements, shortlisted by UCAT (taken that year)
- Normally the top third of applicants, invited on a rolling basis from December
- A contextualised UCAT cut-off for widening-participation applicants, declared carers and Imperial outreach participants (contextual Home applicants meeting AAA and the contextual threshold are guaranteed an invite)
The page on the Imperial medicine interview sets out the stations, what is assessed and how many applicants are interviewed and offered a place. Medicine interview dates by school compares every UK medical school's dates and format.
4. Courses that may interview
Imperial College London lists an interview as possible, or used for some applicants, on Mathematics (eight variants), Computing (seven variants), and Mathematics and Computer Science (four variants).
5. How this page was built
Interview dates, format and mode come from each course's page in Imperial College London's undergraduate prospectus. Each page was read on 18 October 2026 and the figures were exported on 21 October 2026; nothing on this page is estimated, and where a university does not publish a figure the page says so. Universities change interview arrangements between cycles, so treat the course page you are applying to as the final word and this page as the way to compare courses side by side.
6. What to do next
Check your course above and note whether the department gives fixed dates or a rolling window; for a rolling window, keep weekday afternoons flexible from the first month listed. Engineering interviews at Imperial are one-to-one and online for most departments, so set up a quiet room and test your connection and camera before the invitation arrives. Then practise answering out loud: the guide to how to get into medicine in the UK covers the MMI, and the hub page on Oxbridge and medicine interviews 2026 links every interview page on this site.
